OMG! Dealer again..........

Finally got the running problem fixed, injectors.....
Week 6 with my BEAUTIFUL 2005 F250 Lariat, 6.0 of course.
Picked truck up last Thursday, finally ran right! Was on interstate beside this pesky lil Dodge, and you know, had to step on it. THEN it sounded like a jet engine! and lost turbo boost. I thought well something came loose where they just worked on it. Took it back to dealer, after looking for obvious signs. Thought they will tighten something up and be good. NO y pipe at back of turbo blowed up............
You know when you pick your truck up at the dealer and they tell you it is fixed, until the next thing goes..........
I can't believe everyone here likes these 6.0's. Being in the equipment business and horses, I have lots of friends who USE their trucks and I don't know any who have 6.0's that haven't been problems. I kick myself everyday for buying this thing............
It is pretty though............
I had a 2004 duramax, lost in divorce, twice the truck and didn't live at the dealer..........

Sounds like you got a lemon, i have an 04 6.0, and have had my share of issues, but still love my truck.. sorry yours has been a PITA.. hopefully you can get al the bugs worked out...

I hope so, I like the truck, but I'm having my doughts....
Have had it 6 weeks been in shop 5 times.....
I had met mechanic at last dealer, his reply was, I can't believe you got rid of your duramax for a 6.0.....

Go back to the Duramax and leave the 6.0 to the big boys.

BTW i got a 04 6.0 with 53,000 on her and 1 small problem bad EGR Vavle that was it. Been a great truck.

I'm guessing you bought it pre-owned... Doesn't matter if it's a Ford, Dodge, Chevy, or whatever, that is always gonna be the risk by buying used. My 7.3 has gone through 2 injectors, front hubs, and u-joints.... but like I told my wife, it can happen with ANY vehicle................... good luck with your PSD!

I'm sure this will turn into a kick the guy with the terd.
I hope truck never breaks again...... I like the truck, just don't like being on first name basis with Ford dealer.
Any honest Ford Dealer will tell you they have had more problems out of the 6.0 than anything else.... Both dealers I have been to quickly admit it.....
The two times I have drove it that it was right, it was a lil powerhouse!

Yeah, I feel your pain. My truck that I bought new in 06, and has only 24k on it, is in the shop for a bad EGR cooler and oil cooler. And I only treat her with respect. Just towing my boat and RV. No racing, no stupid $hit.

The 03 has 56k on it chip with exhaust.

The 06 has 27k on it with only chip.

As I always say she is pretty!
My son chose the F250 over his uncle's cadillac SUV for Prom!
Truck has PROMISED not to break down until stategically planned "after prom"!
My son and truck have it all worked out.

Long as part comes into dealer in morning!
