Ive got an 07 stroker bought it in november havent had her out in much warm weather, went to nebraska this past week hauling a trailer to pick up some cattle and it seems with the 80 degree temps its running the fan on high on and off when im at low speeds... it kicks in and sounds fairly normal when it does... but my friend had a older 6.0 and said his had never done that? i assumed it was just reading my temps and running my fan more but wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong maybe its not just my fan? im no expert on the 6.0 so if anyone has had this issue or knows if it is or isnt an issue id love to hear what its all about... it does have a hypertech max energy downloader on it... but as far as i know i havent adjusted my fan speed with the chip i keep it on level two for economy...

I got an 04 powerstroke and i never heard the fan on that. It must be a thing with the newer 6.0s. Other people have talked about it around here.

Mine only turns on for a few seconds at a time.. My brother has a 03 6.0 and when the fan would stay on it was his water pump going out.

If its just on in first gear i would not be worried, now that i recall when i am towing my cattle trailer loaded during the summer the fan will turn on in first gear too.. So you prolly dont need to be worried, and i dont remember how much the pump cost him.

I took a trip to montana during the summer with a 5th wheel and when the eng got hot it would turn on. Not so much at high speeds cuz the air flow is optimal
