Question 2003 6.0 F350...About to pull the trigger

Hello fellas...I am new to the site, but I have been reading for a while, but not joining and posting. Well...here goes, I am looking to buy an 03 F350 dually with the 6.0 powerstroke and a manufacture date of 5/03. I had the warranty records pulled and no problems with the truck, other than a couple of minor recalls. My buddy owns the car lot and had the EGR valve replaced yesterday. BTW...I really dont need anything but a 1/2 ton to pull a bass boat, I just want one. Please hit me with any thoughts and opinions! Sorrry, The truck has 140K. what mpg can I expect. thanks in advance

I love my powerstroke, always wanted one, finally got one. Mine now has 130k on it. Unless it is cheap i would not buy it. They are money pits. Almost 75 bucks for fuel filters, the factory air box is a nightmare, cost 40 dollars for oil and filter and the list goes on and on. I love my truck but my wallet seems to always be open. They all say, stud it and delete the egr but.....Add the cost up on that.
