MP3 CD in 2006 ???

I put a MP3 data cd in my truck today and it wouldnt play? Is that normal? Do they make these to not play mp3s? WOW 2006 and the stereo sucks...

Ford just puts the cheaper stereos in the Superdutys, I had swapped mine for a Shaker 500 stereo out of a 2006 mustang and it was a big improvement.

The stereos that will play mp3's have mp3 labeled on the face. They put the best stereos in the cars like the Mustang or the Focus. you can find them on ebay all the time.

If you get a new head unit make sure you get one the has the AUX input in the front so you can plug your Ipod or any MP3 player in easily and so you dont have to buy some overpriced Ipod adapter

Yes that one will work, you will need to swap your mounting brackets over to it. It will put out much better sound than your stock stereo and is mp3 compatable.

The only issue that you might have is that the dimmer feature for the display may not work, but it is a minor issue.
