THROTTLE RESPONSE

it seems like my throttle response is abnormaly slow even compared to some other stock diesels
i was wondering wats the best way or just some ways to improve throttle response on a stock 350 besides a programmer or a chip can you guys help me out ??

Not really anything you can do to improve the throttle response without retuning it.

would a cold air intake help or a throttle body spacer??

Not at all. You're better off to spend the money on an exhaust and an SCT (you can't chip a 6.0 but you can use a worthless module that will tear up your truck) that will improve your mileage and throttle response. The stock intake is EXTREMELY well engineered and A/M intakes are not needed unless you're going for high HP.

A throttle body spacer will do as much for you under the hood as it will in your trash can.... I feel about the same for the a/m intakes

yea i dint know if those would help or not what are some other ways to make the truck faster

What are you trying to accomplish? How much faster do you want to go?........ Why not just get a tuner? This will improve throttle response and make the truck faster and will provide the most hp for dollar....

well im gona get a sct in the summer cuz i cant afford it right now so i was lookin for something to improve acceleration until then

Might as well wait till this summer cause anything other than a SCT will be a waste . Well delete the cat and muffler should be on the list asap , just get some new 3.5 and pop that in the cat & mufflers place . No need to spend money on a bigger pipe unless your going High HP !!

Agreed.

Just wait til summer and you won't regret it. Believe me i wait 6 months til i could afford my SCT. Holy sh*t was the wait worth it. More MPG, better throttle response, and.....oh wait...more power It made my truck a new animal. So just wait til summer.
