where to buy

Where is the best place to buy headgaskets? Did a search and couldnt really find anything.

Also can anyone think of anything else I need to buy when doing studs besides egr delete while its all apart?

I bought mine off of Ebay, there is usually somebody on there with a set at a good price, just be sure to get Ford Motorcraft. You will also need:

Intake Gaskets
3 to 4 gallons antifreeze Ford Premium Gold ONLY
Stuff for an oil change
Around 2 quarts of Mercon SP, you wont lose that much
About 4 quarts of Mercon ATF for the Power Steering
Can of PB Blaster maybe 2 if you are in snow and salt
Couiple cans of strating fluid to clean everything up

I also went ahead and and put a Regulated Return on while my cab was up, it made thos rear ports on the heads alot easier to get to.

I listed all the other stuff just to kinda let you know the little expenses I ran into on mine, it adds up quick!

I have been lookin on ebay but no luck so far, I did see a set like a month ago cheap and didnt buy them Guess I will try and wait for another set to come up but anyone else have any good places to buy them?

mercon sp??what is that? what is the regulated return for? Sorry still kinda new to all this stuff

Had the dealer put my studs in he put OEM gaskets in. I ordered studs they ordered gaskets. If you have someone else do it I'm sure your dealer can still get gaskets.

O yea they can get gaskets but I am not payin 4-600 dollars for them!

Mercon Sp is the ONLY kind of fluid you can put in the transmision, you have to take the trans lines loose at the radiator, but you won't lose that much.

Do some research on the Regulated Returnit would take me a while to explain. ITP makes a great kit. Do it now cause you have to put two fittings in the back of the heads and they are a b**ch to get to with the cab on.
