Blue Smoke?
I have an 06 f250 6.0 and lately when I start it up sometimes I get some blue smoke. Any ideas? Thanks for the help, still learning about Diesel engines.

How much smoke comes out alot or a little? How long does it take for the smoke to stop? does it just smoke when you first start it up? or you start it up and drive it and it smokes still a lil bit? how many miles are on it?

I do not get a heavy cloud of blue smoke but when it does smoke like today when I was leaving for work. I got to the first stop sign about a mile from my house and I saw a little smoke still but the that was all. It has 64K miles, could my programmer have anything to do with this issue? SCT

what mods do you have done to your truck?
blue smoke normally means oil. maybe turbo, maybe your egr valve is dirty |

It could just be a cold diesel engine. Mine smokes a blueish color when its real cold out before the motor warms up.

All it has is a SCT tuned by innovative and a 4'' mbrp with a cat delete.
