EGR MISBELIEFS???

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS info came from another site just curious what people on this site have to say about it????

Use a prybar or an alignment bar with a 90* bend on one end. take the two 8mm (not 10mm) out of the EGR valve. Rotate the valve slightly, place the 90* end of the bar under one of the mounting tabs. Pry up slightly, and POP! out it comes. Pick it up, and throw it i the trashcan. Call and order a CX-2020 from for an 05 up truck, or a CX-2056 for pre-05 trucks. Ford no longer endorses cleaning the EGR valves, not to mention the fact that it doesn't work.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There ARE hundreds of people that are misunderstood on EGR deletion.

Are you aware, at the bare minimum, that the EGR acts as a boost failsafe for when the turbo sticks?

I am not going to get into the complexities of the EGR/Boost strategies tonight, it's late, but I will put something together for you guys to read.

I will be the first guy to admit the 04-up EGR cooler SUCKS..but I would definately not delete the EGR system on a 6.0

This should be good for a train wreck. I have read for years now how deleting was the only way to go!
