Just wondering what your thoughts were about your trucks. Found a 2003 F-250 locally with 150000 miles on the ticker. Auto transmission, extended cab, short box. The guy wants 10k obo for it. Is this a truck i shouldn't be afraid of buying? Im going to get the VIN number and get an OASIS ran for the truck but other then that what should i be concerned of? Is this truck going to last another 100k miles? Im looking to get into a truck that will last. I know dodges that go 400k but have never heard of a 6.0l going that long...

Itl go that long as long as it has been taken care of, and if you continue to take care of it.

It will last that long. Ive got almost 210k on my 05 some im moving on up

If the headgaskets haven't been replaced I would try and find another one.

i have a 03 stroker and its been great i had head studs put in at 99K. but its ran great, only reason it was done is so that i could some better tunes. But i bought mine with 70K miles on it and its a regular cab xlt 4x4 with an 4 inch exhaust and i bought it for 10.5. if its not at less a 4x4 no, and if its not at less an xlt no. i would offer between 8.5 and 9.25 but it will run a long time ive seen over 200K, but it really alk depends if its been ran to hell and back

from the looks of the pictures the truck looks almost brand new. Paint looks clean, not much rust from what i can see. And from the impression i got from talking to the guy on the phone he knows his stuff and takes pride in taking care of his stuff. It also has a plow which if its an ultramount it will make me sway for this truck because of the landscaping and plowing business i work for.

I think you have the head gasket thing backwards, If they havent been replaced it's probably a good motor if it is stock. if they have been replaced it might be one of the nasty ones.
