Need Suspension Help
Just looking for some advice on upgrading my stock suspesion,,,,tthings like shocks, leaf springs, helper springs, ball joints ect ect ect im not really trying to add a liftt kit just want a beeeefierrrr suspension and steering setup i have a 2004 6.0 and she has a snow plow in the winter and the other 6 months she tows a 4,000lb tandem axle dump trailer,,, the ford factory helper springs suck and and even with no load in my trailer the rear sags,,,also i go through ball joints every year,,,, any advice on good heavy duty suspension mods would be grealty appreciated thanks!

well shocks i would go with bilstien and you should just get a suspension from a bigger truck like 450 or add more leafs to your pack or get air bags. wow ball joints every year! thats a doozy! i guess you just have to try to get better ball joints like not from auto zone or what ever

Two is pretty standard i have seen winter package trucks with three leafs. Some leveling kits have replacement springs that have 8 leafs or so (at least the one my buddy just got) you wouldnt be going very high as far as the lift but you would be adding alot of leafs. As for the rear air bags work trick and they dont effect your unladen ride quality. Look into a set up with an on board air compressor. As far as ball joints you might look into dynatrac they build heavy duty off road rock crawler type suspension and they might offer a better ball joint to help you out.
