where is this coming from?

I just noticed a very slight amount of residue on the outside of my degauss bottle and noticed some residue and mess on the passenger side head as well. What does this look like to you guys? My original thought was maybe headgasket but I am not sure...


that retarded looking clip is my ghetto rigged wire coat hanger to hold the injector plug since i lost one and couldn't buy another

It usually means head gaskets. It looks like you have the sticker for coolant level. It could also be that your degass cap is faulty.

to me it looks like the heater control valve, my 07 outlaw has the same problem, drips down from the valve, follows the valve cover to the rear then runs down the back of the head, in 88k have only added maybe a 1/2 qt of fluid to the bottle, i also get some buildup on the top of the bottle, thought i might have overfilled it, not sure.

thanks yeah i think you might be right about the heater control valve... it doesn't explain the little bit on the degauss bottle though. maybe that is due to a faulty cap
