Would you buy this truck for $9000?
2004 F-350 Crew Cab Dually XL with 166,000 miles. 6.0 with auto trans. Build date 8/26/2003. Has had the following repairs:
New Y pipe-2005 EGR Cooler and both heads replaced-2005 EGR Valve-2005 Injector-2005 Control module calibration-2007 Carfax shows 1 owner and no accidents I'm new to the diesel scene, but my family's horse habit necessitates a larger tow vehicle. Should I buy it or avoid it. Thanks for your advice. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks good and the repairs seem to be the typical ones for that engine. If the price is right and the gut feels good then buy it.

Heads could have been damaged from the failure of the egr cooler. Which according to the report the op stated. Both the egr and heads were replaced. So I would say that the repair was done properly and the problem resolved.

Try to find out if head studs were installed when the head gaskets were replaced!
