AMSOIL-new CJ-4
For those who run Amsoil, or considering it, check out amsoil.com, there are new CJ-4 15w40 and 5w40 diesel synthetic oils. I think think CJ4 rating is for the newer 6.4s and the CI+4 is for the 7.3s and 6.0s, someone correct me if Im wrong
I myself just ordered the Amsoil 15w40 AME... Just wanted to keep you guys in the loop |

Wow...Royal Purple, huh? I've always heard not to use it in the 6.0s due to some chemical content that doesnt mix well with the powerstrokes. My brother uses it in his '06 Duramax and it seems to be working fine.
I think the Amsoil is a much better choice for you |

The new 15W-40 for DPF equipped trucks is DME and it is CJ-4 rated. Keep using the AME in your truck.
