6.0 Problems

I have heard about all the problems the 04 6.0's had. I am curious if Ford fixed all the problems with the 6.0 by 05, 06, 07?

Also, what warranty work did they do, did they warranty the problems on ALL 6.0s and it fixed ALL the problems or what did they do? How can you tell if the warranty repairs have been made?

have an oasis report ran on the truck.. it will tell you what exactly has been done by any ford dealership... i dont think there is a way to repair ALL the trucks.. some never had any issues, some had tons.. my 04 had a bit of problems, but it is still a good truck. if you are going to get an 04, have a report run on it.. then make a decision from there...

my 04 hasn't had any of the common 6.0 issues

Bought my 04 brand new and only problem has been the EGR/oil cooler which was covered under warranty. I'm going to do head studs and HGs + EGR delete this fall when my warranty is up...I bought it in October of 04 so I still have 8 months left under warranty.

The short answer is no, but the '06's and '07's seemed to be the best of the 6.0's. There are however tons of 03's through '07's that haven't had the typical problems, so do your homework on each truck and make a good informed decision from there.
