OIL

does anyone know what kind of oil the Ford Dealer uses when they do oil changes on the PSD's? is it synthetic or what?

the reason i ask is i've got an oil change coming up, and i'm going to do it myself, however me and my dad share the truck a lot since we both travel towing and when he is out of town traveling he takes it to the dealer for an oil change. the dealer has done it up to this point, 48k miles on it now. and at 50k miles i'm due.
i'm wanting to use Mobil 1 Synthetic Diesel oil, but i know you're not supposed to go back to dyno oil from synthetic in a gas motor. is that true with diesels? is the oil ford uses synthetic?
i just don't want to use synthetic now and have him take it to the dealer and throw in their motorcraft dyno oil.

thanks in advance!

I am sure the standard oil is Motocraft 15w40. Synthetic oil really isnt going to do what its worth unless you run it with a bypass oil system, and extended drains.

I know it feels good that you are doing more for your motor using, expensive synthetic oil, but unless you are running it extended periods, or a lighter weight like 5W40 for cold climates.
