I Have a 6.0L and I am thinking about adding a Lucas fuel additive to it .
Does it really work for incraesing fuel milage?

Welcome STENTORIAN!
I've never used Lucas but I've used Diesel Kleen a couple of times. I've honestly not noticed any change in milage while using it but I've read where others swear they have. Heck I figure it can't hurt to use it, so I'll continue to run it every now and then. If you try it let us know how it works!

Do they really notice?

I have not used any lucas products myself either. I don't see how some of these people can claim they feel such a very small difference if there is any at all. I'd say the only way to tell small gains or losses in power or efficiency are dyno testing and calculating mileage with and without, not just a "feeling" But i've seen Lucas Oil products at every show i've been to so my guess is they're doing something right!

Diesel Power! give it away now!

I was the 1st Diesel show at Indianapolis Raceway Park back in June and Diesel Power was giving away samples of their injector cleaner/cetane booster. Toward the end of the last day they had an open skid of several boxes of it and let people take what they could carry. I walked off with 4 boxes of it, 6 bottles in each box and I think around 20 ounce bottles. It claimed to treat up to 100 gallons per bottle. I've still got 2 unopened boxes and half of another. I was still running a SuperChip back then which didn't produce much visible smoke at all. I didn't actually feel a noticeable difference with it, but I did actually see that I had a decent puff of smoke when I mashed the pedal, and back to little or none without. So my hypothesis is that Diesel Power is one product that actually works, even if you don't actually feel the difference!

I have a 03 PSD, 6.0, auto, 3.73, SC, SWB, and previously a 99 PSD 7.3, 6 sp manual, 3.73, SC, LWB. I always completely fill the tank (a 10 - 15 minute process, a pain due to foaming of fuel) and almost always use the Red Line Diesel additive. I can't say as I notice any power increase, but mpg is always better with the additive. My 03 gets 18+ around town, and 21-22 on the highway. Actually slightly better than my 99. I have tried AmsOil and Diesel Kleen, but have not noticed the same results.

I use Diesel Kleen on a regular basis every tank. Just drained my fuel water seperator and no water. The interval between this drain and last drain approx. 11 months and lots of miles and fuel from NM to CT.
I also tried Stanadyne Performance formula and noticed an increase in miledge and seat of the pants accelerartion increase. Both are very good products. My personal observations, no scientific data.

I use the Lucas fuel additive at every fuel up in my 6.0 stroke and my gas mileage seems to be a little better than the others in the fleet in the long term with diesel being 2.50 a gallon the big bottle does pay for its self.
