CCV filter size

Got my filter today that im gonna use on my ccv mod, its a little K&N crank case vent filter, just to make sure nothing gets up in there ya know...my question is, the filter was smaller than i expected so it will not fit over or in the 1" id heater hose i got, but a 1/2" pipe nipple screws into the filter just fine lol and I could put that in my heater hose and clamp it down, but would that be enough to allow it to breath, it would be going from 1" id to 1/2" then into the filter...how much breathin room so to speak do the crank case need? I just don't wanna **** anything up.

Thanks for any help,
Ryan

you will be fine, just means the smoke comming out of yours will have a little more oomph to it. The filter is not restrictive enough to do anything negative.

Post some pics, like a starting, an in progress, and finished product please. Thinking of doing the same thing myself. Thanks.
