Unit bearing or Hub conversion
Im in need of either a new unit bearing or a good inexpensive hub conversion kit. Which would you do and where can I find a good hub conversion kit or a good heavy duty replacement unit bearing. For an 06 f350 4x4 it just started making noise but no play yet how long will my unit bearing last.

I drove it today and when the wheel was turned left and when backing up from the drivers side front tire I heard pop, pop, pop so could this be a u joint. not a wheel bearing. BTW I was in 4x4.

Were you on dry pavement. Either way check your u-joints on the front axle at the steering knuckle.

I just had a similar prob, changed out my stock auto/locking hubs for a set of Warn Premium set. Now all is good. Myabe you might have the same problem, but Warn Premium's won't work or your 06

Why would my hubs be making noise in 2wheel.

Mine sounds kinda like the tires rubbing the mud flap in 2 and 4wheel when turning left and it goes pop pop in reverse when wheels turned to left on the drivers side.
