KOEO TEST
dumb question:
What is a "Key On Engine Off" test? I can only assume it is some kind of self-check procedure ... ![]() I removed and cleaned my EGR valve today and my symptoms (poor milage, no power, no boost...) actually got WORSE. Is it possible the computer needs to learn the position of the EGR? If so, is this done during the KOEO test? If so, how is this done? |

thats what they did with mine when they replaced the egr. Its so it can "re-learn"? thats what they told me. You have to use one of those nice Snap-on code readers to do it. Any nice shop should have one. I think they are real expensive. hope this helps.

I have heard many different stories about the. reseting the computer after repairs. One is disconnect the battery one is disconnect battery and flip lights on. and a hand full of other stuff. But I was also told that the computer is so fast and will pick it up any changes so no need for this IDK what to believe.
