head gaskets

well i dropped my truck off at the ford dealership yesterday thinking i had a leaking injector. well it turns out i was wrong. they said that my headgaskets were blown and i need a new injector control moduel. well luckly its all covered under warrenty with only 3,000 miles to go till it is up. so tomorrow i get to bring my new arp headstuds downs there and see if they will install them for me. lets keep our fingers crossed.

If it'll be out of warranty in 3k miles I don't know why they wouldn't install the studs for you. Typically when the do they won't cover head gasket related failures in the future under warranty but that won't reall be an issue for you. Good luck man.

Congrats, that's a smokin' deal to get new head gaskets and ARP headstuds for $100 plus the cost of the studs. I got the same deal from a local dealership and there was no way I was passing that up. Because I still had 55k miles left on the engine warranty, I tipped the diesel tech another $150 (since ARP headstuds are aftermarket) and he told me I could bring the truck back and anything related would still be covered under the warranty. You're so close to the end of your warranty, it's probably not worth it, but something to consider. Plus, most dealerships will warranty the warranty work for 12 months/12k miles after it has been done, even if you're past the Ford Warranty.
