The 03 Turbo Swap is DONE!

I picked up an 03 turbo and pedestal today from a fellow member of the org and just got done installing it. Total time was about 3.5 hours and it was a pretty simple installation. Gotta love the sound of an 03 turbo

If you haven't already done so, remove the muffler and then you'll really like it.

Cool, Im fixing to do mine, are the two turbos about the same performance. I didn't know if there were any difference in swapping your 06 to the 03?

A little quicker spooling, 15-20 hp. gain possible at higher rpm's and I noticed almost 150 degree drop in EGT's.

Make sure you get the 03 turbo pedestsl too.

yea i got one, just trying to find a good deal on the turbo. The dealership told me to keep my 06 just in case I have warranty work done, i can put it back on. Where did you get yours?

My Aunt works for a company that remans. the 03. I got it new for $450 and that included paying the core.
