Question for the smart guys.

I was wondering how much juice the block heater pulls. I cant plug my truck in at work and it starts kinda tuff. What would happen if a person had a battery hooked up to a solar charger and then had a power converter hooked to that so you could plug your truck in?
Its probably a goofy idea that would never work. Oh well!

You would need a big solar panal and converter. Good luck with it!

I'm not sure how many watts they pull, but I would guess its several hundred, if not more. They've got to be similar to a small electric space heater...

I'm pretty sure it is a 1000 watt block heater which would pull just a bit over 8 amps at 120 volts.
