the aftermarket warranties along with most extended warranties arent worth the paper they are written on, you pay for the warranty and if you have a problem, they have to send an inspector out to look at the vehicle , and they always find a reason not to cover it , dont do it , i just had 2 claims denied from fords extended warranty that alot of people have bought , its not worth it

thanks for the info, that just saved me a good 2100 dollars..but i have anothe question. i went in and talked to the ford dealer about head studs and they looked at me weird(like why would i be getting this done) and said it would probably cost 5000. that was absolutly nuts, ive heard people getting them done at dealerships for like 2000. so whats the deal?

dealership would probably try to charge you that , i do them cash parts included for 2500 dollars , as long as heads arent warped ,seems like everybody wants to charge a different price

Agreed 100%. When I was in that business there was always a reason to deny the claim and if you really read the fine print it's obvious that it is a scam.

Hey Scott. Was the warranty you're talking about the diesel care Ford warranty? I've been seriously considering it myself, but if they're gonna try to void me for anything, it's probably not worth it. There's no way I want to install the stock exhaust, get rid of the Quadzilla, pull the EGR block off, etc. every time I have to take it in.

talked to my ford person yesterday, they said the warranty is pretty good. They have never said anything about the stuff on my truck. It just came out and covers 100,000 miles. Its $2500. covers heads, gaskets, egr, any internal motor parts, etc. sounded pretty good to me, with no deductible either. I guess it depends where you take your truck, we have bought 10+ ford from the dealership so they are pretty cool with us. hope this helps. im going to get mine when I get close to 85,000 miles.
