a/c

This is my first diesel a 2004 f250 c/c shortbed,but not my first ford,76,79 150,78/79 bronco all with big blocks.and not my last ford,but my problem is that when my a/c is turned on(a/c and max a/c) only on second fan setting do i get a plastic burnt smell.on heat nothing.driving me crazy.please any info would greatly be apprieciated,james from hawaii.where we have lava,earthquakes,sun, surf,and snow.

How about when it's on defrost? How about when it's on a different fan setting? Is it just specific to AC or the 2nd fan setting?
