Ford TECH HELP!
any of you diesel techs out there this is for you all.. heres my issue i just had my truck reflashed by ford and now the truck isnt the same... first of all my egts are alot higher before the reflash they would run bout 500 - 600 deg normal drivin on the highway at 70 mph. now it runs bout 850 to 900 deg why is this??? also the truck seems to have less power and seems to be sluggish... i wouldnt think a reflash would cause this... what does this sound like to yall is wrong?? and also has anyone else experienced such?? thanks for the help guys...

Reflashes can cause power loss depending on what the updates are. The bad thing is, once it has been updated/reflashed with the newest version you can't go back. Don't exactly know why the EGT's are higher.

i believe you can take it in and ask for an " as built " reflash... i run 800* to 900* on the highway at 70 mph... your temps arent too bad.

Sounds like the the new flash has the injection timing retarded more then the stock flash. Result= higher egts, slugish power(not as crisp). They do this for emisions, does the motor sound quieter also. This is only my opinion.
