Where to purchase extended warranty?

Just purchased a 2004 F350 Crew Cab Dually 2WD and it has 78,000 miles on it and the warranty runs out in 8 months (aug 09). Where is the best place to get extended warranty on the 6.0L engine?

i believe ford is currently offering the 200k warranty extension for the 6.0s for like $1,200but it has to be bought before you hit 100k. just check with your dealer but i'm pretty sure they are cause it was offered to my buddy last month right before he hit 100k when it was in the shop.

Just my advise, but if you spent the money on having the heads studded and EGR system deleted, that would cure 90% of all the warranty work you'd ever need IMO. That and replace the oil cooler while you're in there. If you're dead set on extending the warranty I'd go to Ford. I'm not a big fan of "aftermarket" warranties.

yes if you plan on putting any mods on your truck you might as well not get the extended warranty and spend the money on suds, egr delete, exhaust, and SCT w/ custom tunes. but like shu873 said, 90% of 6.0 problems are egr and blown head gaskets
