coolant filter

Hi im new here and was wondering whether or not it would be worth putting a coolant filtration system on my truck. Ive noticed that there is a lot of residue in my coolant reservoir. Where is a good place to buy one? I have a 03 F250 with a 6.0. Thanks alot.

Dieselsite from what I've researched. I'm just not sold on those $20 cheapie valves. I'd use a 304 or 316 stainless Apollo ball valve.

I installed one in my 7.3 it only took a few hours. i haven't had it on there long enough to see if it did any thing but so far I'm glad i put it on. all the bigger diesels have them so it can't hurt but then again its one more filter you got to buy

ya it is one more filter that's true. I'm just gonna buy them from dieselsite. It's bypass also so if that one get's 'clogged up' then it will still flow coolant. Pretty sweet.

Yes Dieselsite has them or you can diy one from napa for 50.00 total. I just mounted the filter off the alt so it only lets out a little coolant when I replace the filters.

Go to Wix filters - oil filters, biodiesel filters, air filters, and fuel filters from FleetFilter! and pick out a filter and base. Order it or go to napa and get it.
