Edge Juice Platinum with Attitude

Ok.. So I've heard alot of bad about Edge. If your gonna talk against it, please save us time and dont post. I am really looking for anyone, who has had it, and liked it. Whats actually good about it?

Is anyone still running it?

How are all the settings? And does the "just tranny" setting work?

I did not use the platinum but I did have an edge juice with attitude adjuster model ejf1000. I believe it was one of the first ones for the 6.0L. Only thing good about it that I could think of is that I got it for cheap and I got decent mileage on level 1. I've never heard about a "just tranny" setting but I'd be wiling to bet all four of my rims and tires that it doesn't do any good for the transmission. No tuner does for that matter. If I had to do it all over again I would have got analog gauges with the tunes I have now. Edge + 16" lift = kaboomed transmission over time.

I used the Edge on my 06 and have sold about a dozen or so to friends and customers without any real issues, I liked the fact that you could turn off the top speed limiter, correct speedo readings and had adjust on the fly capabilities along with adjusting the defuel settings at shift points,,,now the down side is on occasion I didn't care for the way the trans shifted.

Are you sure you can adjust the speedo with the platinum? I never knew that...

Anything + 16" lift = worthless. Your tranny won't be the only thing with a shortened lifespan with that much lift.

I had the Juice Platinum with an A2 on my 04 and really liked it. You won't get anyone on this site to say anything but SCT, but I wouldn't have any problem recommending the Edge for an 03-04 6.0. I have a feeling a lot of the transmissions that the Edge supposedly killed had more to do with the owner's foot.

Yeah, you set the speedo as one of your gauge displays,it won't correct the factory speedo, just the display will show corrected speed.

I've got got friends and customers using them and no one has had a trans problem yet, but lets be real, you can tear up an anvil with a rubber hammer if you try hard enough.

I can't start a new thread being a new member and all, so I was wondering if posting in here would help.

A buddy of mine who doesn't frequent the forums asked me to help him with his Edge. He bought his '06 F250 6.0L PSD with the Edge Juice w/Attitude installed and it ran great. He unplugged the display for some time while he was in the city for work so it wouldn't get stolen and when he tried to plug the unit back in, there's no display. The unit shows just a blank screen, has power, just no monitoring. He said he followed the instructions in the manual. The canned tunes work fine, there's just no monitoring on the Attitude. I feel it something simple...my Edge has done this and I simply shut my truck down and turned the key back to on and it worked. This didn't work for his unfortunately.

Any quick tips I should let him know?
