check filter light

hey guys, after plowing for about 6 hours my check filter light came on. the whole air box was a block of ice. i removed the ice cleaned it real good and got the filter clean. however every time i start my truck it says check air filter. how do i get that to go away. thanks, john

There's a reset button on the end of the filterminder sensor that's in the side of the airbox. Just push it in, although it's a little firm sometimes. It also will tell you percent of "use" your filter has left.

that or unhook the batteries for about 10 min and resent the computer sometimes works

I don't believe unhooking the batteries will reset the filterminder although it will temporarily clear the light and/or codes present. Resetting the filterminder is MUCH easier than taking the battery cables loose since it takes less than a second to do.
