So lets get some info
OK, so im looking at an 04 cc sb PSD with 100k and an automatic. I'v heard ton's of ***** storie's about them and i want to know the GOOD's the BAD's and what everyone has done with them, including best power additions. Thanks guys !

Generalized all 6.0's, but 04 specific too. So if basicly if ya got a 6.0 and want to chime in, . . I WANT to here it !! |

well i had 2 6.0's and my first was a 03 and never had any problems with it. had a edge juice w attitude than switched to sct with custom tunes. also had 8" lift and 3" body lift runnin 38's. truck ran very good. my current im runnin a sct with custom tunes by innovative and its pretty quick. mods are in my sig along with my best et. ive owned 2 7.3's and they werent bad but both had tranny issues. both were chipped but still felt like slugs.

SCT w/ custom tunes,
Get the supporting mods first - exhaust and gauges. Don't worry to much with the intake. The stocker flows PLENTY Start there and then GO CRAZY!!!! Let us know how it goes. |

I love my 6.0
Biggest concern is going to be headgaskets and EGR system...fix both ASAP, headstuds and delete the EGR system then keep a strict maintenance schedule and you should be good. I believe one of the largest factors in poor running 6.0's is lack of maintenance.For mileage you are looking at about 15 for fatty all the way up to maybe 20 for a lighter 250 |

the known problems you "could" run into, thats about it. i have done egr delete and studs. there are the only known problems to be worried about. some trucks run great. i have an 03 and i havent had any problems with my truck,
depending on your power levels things become weak, but other then that its a great all around truck with plenty of power from the factory and some options if you want more good luck! |

thats what i was talking about the trans are good but once you starting making good power and really dogging on them they break down.
