Leveling kit and new tires (PICS!!!)

Finally got the leveling kit and new tires installed. The kit wasn't too hard, but the axle rolled and caused us a little grief. Nothing a comealong couldn't fix.

The ride is pretty much same as stock. Not bouncy or rough at all. I need to get some new shocks, but I am waiting until after Christmas. The tires are a bit louder than the General Ameritracs that I took off it, but not too bad. They sound kinda like BFG KMs.

I originally was going to put the BFG KM2s on it, but everywhere I went they were backordered and would not ship until mid January. I was dying to get it done, so I checked out Jegs and found the Mickey MTZs cheaper than the KM2s with FREE shipping! So there you go...

Clay- I got the mini spring pack from TopGunCustomz for $225/free shipping. The spring pack is manufactured by Icon.

It reallys wasn't too hard to install, the hardest part was lining everything up to put it back together. The direction say to do one side at a time, but you cant get the minisprings in there until you at least loosen the other side. When you loosen both sides, the axle rolls backwards. UGH! We tried to use one of my ratchet straps to pull the alxe forward to realign everything. Sad to say that ratchet strap is no longer with us. The torque on the ratchet was more than it could bear and bent it all to hell. The come-along worked much better. Shoulda used it in the first damn place.

The whole thing took us about 3 hours. (...and that includes a 20 minute break to change the oil in my friend's mother-in-law's car. You gotta do what you gotta do...)
