FYI - TSB 7-5-4 was superceded by TSB 08-26-3.
In this new TSB, it states: If the FICM contains one of the following files then it has already had the Inductive Heat calibration installed: ARZ2AH00 ARZ2AL00 ARZ2AL01 Last edited by bismic; 12-15-2008 at 06:41 PM. |

I got this today after my truck got the SES light on my way to work. It was a nice warm -5 this morning.
I haven't noticed much difference yet, though I haven't had a start after a cold soak nor a SES light since. |

Previous post was just an FYI for reference on the Inductive Heat Flash and how to confirm that you have it (since you stated "my supposedly reflashed with TSB 7-5-4 this past summer").
The TSB 7-18-4 (Issued September 07) just instructs to program the PCM to the latest calibration version to fix (DTC) P0470 and MIL on in cold weather. I believe you are correct in saying that if the service department applied TSB 7-18-4, it would mean that the latest PCM calibration was applied at that time. TSB 7-5-4 was the TSB to apply the FICM re-programming to the Inductive Heat flash. This has now been supeceded to the one I mentioned (TSB 08-26-3) which instructs to verify latest FICM program. TSB 08-26-3 6.0L DIESEL - DRIVEABILITY - NO START, HARD START, RUNS ROUGH - FUEL INJECTION CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSIS https://www.motorcraftservice.com/pu...sb08-26-03.htm Last edited by bismic; 12-15-2008 at 06:50 PM. |
