what oil do you guys use
well it is time for my first oil change and i was wondering what oil you guys like to use on here. I have Rotella sitting in my garage from my diesel blazer but i wanted to check with you guys first to see if there is something else that everyone is having better results with.

I assume that's a 6.0?? I use rotella and have never had an issue but I have a 7.3l. If Tank comes on here he's going to sell you on the valvoline.

Thats one bad truck. I would deffinetly use amsoil. I have 106,000 on my 04, and have not put hardley any wear on my engine. They told me it was worn to the equivelence of a motor that has 20K

I used Valvoline Premium Blue 15w-40 or the synthetic Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5w-40.
If I can't get Valvoline I run Mobil Delvac. I don't like Rotella in my PSDs either. |

motorcraft, rotella... great luck with both. Only one oil I didn't have good luck with. CJ4/SM Castrol 15-40. That stuff wore out in no time, approx 4k miles. MPG's were way down!

I have Syntec 5-40 that I am getting ready to put in my truck, The oil has a Volkswagon TDI approval sticker, Volks has been using Synthetic oil in the TDI, since the 90's. I will try it in my Ford. I feel I will need sythetic here since the temperature was -39F this morning and that was not with wind chill.
