Looking for my first powerstroke

I'm looking at getting my first powerstoke. I found an awesome '03 crew cab with lift kit. Not sure what other mods, but I haven't gone to look at it because I was told the '03 and '04 6.0L have too many problems. The truck has only 27k miles on it and they are asking $18,995. Thats some really low mileage, the asking price seems a little high but I could be wrong, as far as the problems, yeah they had their fair share, but as long as all the recalls were performed you should be fine, I know a couple people with 03s and 04s and their trucks run great

That sounds like a good price to me. Have you blue booked it? Those are very low miles for a 5 year old truck, he must not drive it. I have 21k on mine, and it sit's in the driveway 80% of the time. Oasis and carfax are the only things I can think of, one of the techs should be able to shed some more light on your possible purchase. CHeck this stuff out

I've got an '03 and absolutly love it. My brother in Law and my dad both have03's as well.You can't go wrong with an '03 with a STRAIGHT pipe 4" exhaust, they sound amazing. I have had a couple of Ford Tech's even tell me that the '03 and '04 trucks make more power than the newer engines. I don't know that one for sure though. As for the price, I paid close to 20 for mine back in March with just a hair over 80,000 miles on it. I say go for it if the oasis comes back clean.

The best way I know to get you all the info is to direct you to the website. On Autotrader.com, if you enter Ford and Zip code 80012 then used trucks within 75 miles and a price of 18k-19k and dealers only it comes up with 3 trucks. The one I'm looking at is the silver crew cab with 27k miles from Bob Penkus Mazda in Colorado Springs. Thanks
