I would stay away from the non-OEM filters made by Racor. They don't always fit correctly and can cause the oil to drain back down to the pan like when you remove the filter element.
HUH? Racor makes the motorcraft filters, iirc. I buy and use racor filters from shopdiesel.com. Cheapest I've found. For oil up in that cold weather I would use valvoline 5w-40 fully synthetic or schaffer's has some real good options as well. I agree, get some pics up! welcome.
