Sounds steep to me. I mean if there was an air locker in the rear end, built transmission, studs, and remote oil cooler and the truck would have to be pristine condition then 27k maybe.
Me I would not offer anything over 19k that is assuming the truck is stock and that is generous. They probably got the truck for 14k. What is the kbb on the truck?
KBB is 27. He pays extra for everything it seems. He's offering me 18k on my Jeep which I was surprised at. He said he couldn't go any less than 27. I thought 25 would be fair but he wasn't having it.
Yeah, that's high. Every region seems to have a different pricing range, but I looked at a Bulletproofed 2006 KR with 75K before I bought my '04 and they were only asking 25k for it. I suspect I could have gotten it for 23k, but that was still out of my budget. The truck was pristine.
If it's studded and deleted do you think it's worth the 27? He came out and said I won't do less than 27 before I even mentioned any numbers but I'll stay firm at 25.
The truck is NINE years old!......I guess I'm stuck in a time warp because I think they're asking about double what it's worth. But then again I traded an plain jane 05 STX on my 07 F350 lariat CCSB with 103,000 all stock last year and only paid an attentional $8,000.......and my 350 is pristine.
Way overpriced. If KBB books the truck that high, then they need to have a look at the market and make some revisions.
The truck has some styling cues that leads me to believe the previous owner was a member of some Ford truck forum (08+ tailgate, 08+ bed caps, 08+ mirrors, dual exhaust, lift w/wheels and tires). I would assume from those items that the PO probably had the motor looked at; however, I would never buy based on assumption.
Post some pics of the motor when you get the chance. I personally wouldn't buy this truck solely based on it pushing a plow for who knows how long (rust or possible transmission problems), and it seems that you could find the same or better style truck on Craigslist for around $18k-$20k, granted you would have to sell your Jeep yourself.
I Think he is jerking you around, a car dealer, new or used never, ever, ever gives you the price he'll take the first time. And he's doing you a favor by standing firm, if he did drop 4 or 5 grand you'd feel obligated to take it and you'd still be paying top dollar plus for a nine year old truck. There's a lot of good trucks left kickin' around and sooner or later you'll find what your looking for. jmho
This guy bought his cheap and look what happened to him.........
Just a little humor to help you cope with the let down....
IMO, he's asking you about $6k more than what I'd pay for it if the deltas were perfect. I bought an '04 with 120k miles and paid exactly half of that shipped from AZ. Sure I'm putting an oil cooler in it but, I'm doing what I want to this truck..
Way to steep. Bought my truck last year and it's almost identical to that for $18k in near pristine condition and already bulletproofed. Sorry it didn't work out. But I see these all the time on craigslist for way better prices. If your willing to travel a little bit there is an 06 king ranch down my way for $20k with new FICM, 175's, SCT, exhaust, 2 sets of rims and tires, etc.
