Looking at a 2006 F350, Got ?????

My 2002 Dodge is having transmission problems and there are about $2000 other little things I need to do to it soon if I keep it.

I am looking at trading it in on a 2006 F350 SWB DRW Crew Cab w/24,000 miles on it. The Ford is a great looking truck, is already setup to tow a gooseneck (which I need) has the heavy tow package (GCWR is 26,000) and when I weighed my Dodge and trailer I was at 22,500 so this truck is better for what I haul.

So my only concerns are the 6.0 engine!! Should I find another truck or is it safe to get this one? Been trying to find all the information I could about the 6.0 and I have read about the issues it has. A lot of them seem to be on the 2003 and 2004 years. Any thoughts would be great.

most of the problems were in the earlier years, overall though great truck, the best thing to do would be to get an oasis report to check out it out

I love my 6.0........probably the best way to ensure longevity is to get the heads studded and remove the EGR system.

I'm halfway there, I got the studs in.
