Bought a 2003 f-250 with the 6.0 and 175k miles on it that belonged to the Kansas Dept of transportation. They were still using it up until sale day. I installed a scannerII gauge. What are some of the first tests I should run to see if the motor is truly healthy? It starts and runs fine, so far. It would be nice if I could get an Oasis report from someone to see what perhaps some of the past maintenance history was? VIN 1FDNF20P33EB33061, thanks for any help and tips ,
Jim
Yep, I had read that earlier, but I seemed to remember last fall I read where someone had said to run at 65mph + for 20-30 min, then I think check water temp and oil temp, and they should be within 12* of each other? Anyway, can't find that thread to refresh my memory.
Kind of what I thought but sticky I members forum, say they no longer do that:look:
