I have the EOT reading on my autometer and also have it on my engine link app. The autometer lags substantially behind what temp is being shown on my app. The app is dynamically changing while the autometer very slowly shows the actual temp once getting up to temp. Thoughts? Thanks.
Are they the same type of thermocouple? Two different types can produce results and it could be that the autometer is designed that way to prevent a wildly swinging needle (I assume that the EGT gauge is analog)
Sorry I missed the EOT thought you were asking about EGT. Where is the gauge getting it's signal from? Directly off the oil temp sensor or another sensor?
Could be as simple as a bad gauge. Is it possible to hook it up to a buddies truck and see if you get the reaction? Also there are two sensors on the oil cooler the temp sensor that has two wires coming out of it and the low pressure sensor has only one wire.
Which is where my obd II device is pulling info from?
