I have a very good condition OEM turbo in my shop. Its got about 15k miles on it.
It was a brand new replacement unit from Ford. I could look in my receipts to check exact miles, but pretty sure it was replaced right around 90-92k, truck has 109k now.
I just installed a Stage 2, and have no need for this one.
What numbers on the turbo will tell me the vein count?
It was replaced by the dealer under warranty.
I would assume its what ever Ford calls for in a 2005.
^^^13 vane turbos were used from 04-07 on our engines, I have yet to see a 15 vane on a 6.0. Good lord I couldn't imagine how choking 15 vanes would be in that tiny exhaust housing....I bet it'd spool up really fast but then die off really fast too :thud:
