I need to email my strategy so i can get my tunes. I read the strategy off of my truck but can not get my computer to read the tuner.
when I ordered the tuner they never said anything about having to download any software or programs.
2006 king ranch,8" fabtech lift,37" procomp e/t,magnum force cold air intake,6"bull hauler stacks,sct innovative custom tunes,zoodad mod,
All you have to do with the strategy is type it in an email to them and they will email the tunes back to you.
Now as far as the software you need:
Follow this link: SCT Automotive Performance Products
Go to the bottom and select your device then you need to choose what to download.
You will need the Windows Device Drivers and the Device update software.
Your device drivers will be in a .zip called LWDrivers.zip...you need to unzip this into its own folder. Then when you plug in your SCT to the computer you will use that folder to update the drivers. If you don't know how to do this there is a video tutorial on the sct website: Installing USB Drivers
All you need to do with the Device update software is double-click the file you download and it will install the software you need to load your tunes onto the SCT.
I just went through this.... There is a Posting on the Performance Parts section... It is a little confusing as SCT has just upgraded their Website, and it does not look like it does in the LIVEWIRE instructions..
But there are Links on my Thread, that will put you in the right place, and it is not difficult. Ignore all the part about Updates if you have a new LIVEWIRE, The updates are for older ones updating new software..
Anyway, it is a breeze once you figure out how to jump through the hoops.
And YES Erics Tunes are AWESOME. On STREET driving light footed, I have gotten about a 1.5 mpg increase in fuel economy. I just have to resist and in the last tankful still had to blow off three uppity rice grinders that just HAD to pass me, and on STREET they did not make it..
It really brings out the A$$ whole in me... I have to watch myself, and not yield to the urge...
