Heater Question

I have noticed that my truck won't warm up very well just left to idle. Then when i'm driving i noticed that the air will actually start blowing cooler when I stop at a stop light and then warm back up really quick when I take off. Is this normal for the 6.0s. Also does anyone know why the climate control says A/C when it is heating not cooling?

It is below the antifreeze min mark but not terribly low.

I topped it off yesterday. Today when I got to work I saw something wet on the spring and suspension. I looked under the hood and found the degas bottle was well below the min level. Does the cap on those go bad like a radiator cap can? I didn't fill it above the max level and it was a cold engine.
