I don't think it is. Mine ('05) went bad at 77,000 miles and was going to be charged over $400 to replace it even though my PT Warranty was still in effect.

you can do the fix in about 20 minutes....prob covered in a 3/36k, but not PT warranty

the alternator is part of the engine assembly so therefor should be covered under the power train warranty if they are saying no i would cause some **** with them lol

![]() If you did a little research you find that ONLY LUBRICATED PARTS (ON THE ENGINE) ARE COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY.

Mine went out at about 90K miles and it was going to be hella expensive to buy the alternator.......I had a motor repair shop rebuild it for about a $100 bucks. Installed it myself, but the belt is a b*tch to get on...

Get a couple tools and do it yourself. might even take 5 minutes.. might have to buy a new alternator from pepboys but i think its warrantied for life lol
