I love mine so if it were me I'd say yes but that's just my biased opinion.

Watch for the changes and differences with plastic

Lost of plastic in the new trucks.

I expected some high quality conveniences in the cab to go with the sticker price of $48,765.00. The cheap plastic on the outside, glove box, overhead console, and door storage dramatically reduce the feel of a other wise good truck. If you put anything in them they make the worse noises. Plastic would not be so bad if it was supported or insulated to reduce the noise.

Zero insulation under the hood, wheel wells are not inclosed.

Mats do little or nothing to protect the cheap carpet. I bought what I thought was an upgraded all weather mats. The mats are great but they leave more uncovered than they cover. Cup holders are needed int the back seat if you have 3 passengers you have zero cup holders.

Smile, I know all this is cosmetic but for the price I am second guessing my truck. I bought mine because of the powertrain. I am a camper and 80 percent of the campers are pulled by Ford Super Duties.... That says a lot.
My brother n laws 2000 F250 is better made when it comes to the inside look and feel.

power95, if you want my opinion on the subject, get a 99.5-2003(you could still get the 7.3 as an option in 03) 7.3. the 7.3 is much simpler to work on, has plenty of torque and horsepower, handles mods very well, and is a proven motor. the only thing that i have comonly seen with them is oil leaks.

That was going to be my suggestion to you Srury. Just hang on a while. If you go buy that 06 6.0 now and have the variety of problems that others have had, you're gonna wish you'd waited. Even if you don't have the problems you might still wish you've waited if that 6.4 comes out and it shocks everyone...

Just wanted to share with you a letter I sent out to my friends after I bought my 6.0 ...

Fellow Warriors,

For the past few months I have felt a disturbance in my life, an un-easy feeling that never went away regardless of how hard I worked-out or how much I said "I loved my Jeep." Unbeknownst to me I suffered from INABTS (I Need A Big Truck Syndrome); INABTS is a horrible disease process that will crush even the strongest of wills and Men. I tried to accept a life-style void of an 8ft Bed, six Wheels, room for six, and enough Horse-Power to pull WTHIW (Whatever The Hell I Want). I tried to "Love my Jeep;" I would wash it often, vacuum it weekly, and boosted it's testosterone levels by adding after market parts, but regardless of what I tried, I fell short, INABTS still overshadowed even the best Catalog Orders. I write you all to let you know that I am cured of INABTS forever ... Yes Men, I am talking about a new 2006 Ford F-350 Crew Cab Dually 4x4 with the 6.0 Power Stroke Diesel. I want to thank all of my friends who were relentless in the verbal bashings of the "Chick-Jeep," and for your stand on identifying with the fact that some Men need big trucks, not because it is a phallic symbol, but because we are Men doing manly-stuff.

Thank you, Frankie

Head Studded

Hey man, I'm new here and was wondering what you guys mean by studding the heads? Is it a reinforcement or a replacement for the head gasket? How do you do it, and how much does it cost?

Thanks for any info.

Lou
