thinking about trying to get a 6.0

well im heading to the dealer tomorrow to see if i can be approved to get anything. and well i was thinking about trying to get a 6.0 but im a little worried about getting one just cause of the head gasket problems. but just need some tips and what not on them. i know the 7.3 just not to sure about the 6.0

1996 F-250 dually convertion
intercooler
D.I.Y intake system
FPR shimmed
DIY exaust brake
dFuser 18k+
custom tunes by brians truck shop
3 inch down pipe/4 inch straigh pipe/6 inch
bullhaulers
SouthBend 350 Clutch

Yes, HGs have been a problem for some 6.0s....but don't let that stop you from getting a truck if you like it and if it is in good condition. Besides, a LOT of 6.0s out there still have plenty of warranty left. For every one that actually blew gaskets, there is probably 6, 12, or even 20 more that are running strong.

get a later model 6.0, the 03's and some 04's were trouble. i love mine. it is a great truck, BUT i have had issues with it. good luck on what you decide!
