AMSoil or Royal Purple

I have been running Royal Purple for the past year. Is Amsoil a better oil? I am also moving from FL to Vermont next month, which weight oil should I use in the winter. Great site by the way, I am a former Cummins owner who saw the light and now have a 04 F250. Thanks.
