Fuel heater for 6.0L
I have a 2007 F-350 and I would like to know if this truck comes factory with a fuel heater in the fuel filter housing ? If it doesn't, does anyone have a suggestion for an aftermarket one? I use some good quality biodiesel that goes pretty low before gelling so I want to continue to use it as late as I can into the year. If anyone can help me out , I'd appreciate it.

I know the 7.3's had a heater in the fuel bowl, but I'm not sure about the 6.0's. I installed one on my frame rail right after the fuel pump. Check these out.

the 07 models do not have a fuel heater in the system, was taken out somtime in 05 and later models , even if you update the 03 up , the housing eliminates it , may go with an aftermarket setup , like shown above

if you look around the fuel pump area , there are 3 plug ins on the fuel pump if it has it and only 2 if it doesnt , 3 are pump power , water in fuel sensor and heater , if it doesnt its fairly obvious

Thanks for the info! I'll have to look. I have to change my fuel filters anyhow.

I changed filters on my 05 today an it sure had what looks like the fuel heater plug in the picture above. I have to get back under it in the morning because now I'm not getting any fuel. It got dark and I ran out of steam so I'll run it down tomorrow.
I am still interested in a tank heater that will work with the stock tank though. It doesn't help to have a heated filter if the tank is jelled. |
