Stock EGT's
I just got gauges installed not too long ago and I feel that my egt's are too high for stock. My only mods are a CFM+ smallmouth intake elbow and cat delete on stock exhaust. I regularly see 700-900 when accelerating lightly, about 600-700 cruising, and max of just under 1100 when on it. Also what should the stock boost reading be? I get more or less 25psi max. I am wondering if the cfm elbow is causing a boost leak which is raising the egts. Any have any insight?

Well thats good to know that they're normal, but damn they are high. My buddy with a stock cummins never goes over 900. What kind of temps can i expect with an sct and innovative tunes?

My egt's dropped anywhere from 50-150, just depends on how hard you want to drive. But all around lower temps. I saw 34psi boost once and decided that I better keep the heads on the block. I highly recommend getting SCT with Innovative tunes. With the way you truck will perform, you wont get depressed when filling up the tank.

if you got a 4 in pipe on there they would drop a fair amount, i dont think mine (stock) really got over around 900 with my 4 in pipes
