What is the point of adding 2-stroke oil in our 6.0's??
Seeing that we don't have mechanical injector pumps what's the reason for adding 2-stroke oil????

What are you doing with the 2 stroke oil?

the reason for adding any lubricant to the fuel is to add back to the low sulfur fuel to help keep fuel system in shape, the sulfur in the fuel helped with lubrication, with it taken out , good to add a little something

thats the point, there is no point. it just eats up seals and clogs injectors! but 2 stroke oil scuffy? I had alot of techs tell me thats bad, and to use an actual additve.

Maybe the 2 stroke oil is very similar to off the shelf additives ?

Ford actually has areal good product in their cetane booster & performance improver part#PM.22.A I put it in every tank. one bottle treats 125 gallons of fuel. so its pretty cost effective at $6.99 a bottle.

some will said it lubricates the engine better, makes it run quieter and smoother. with diesel having ulsd, our engines were designed to run like that though i believe. imo it adds lubricity, but wont hurt anything.
my buddy runs it in his 02 cummins..i run no additive in my truck. I have ran stuff before but i think its all BS |

From what I have read and understood from many is that you don't wont to run 2 stroke oil in the 6.0. Several 7.3 owners say that it is better suited for the 7.3
