question about used sct x3

bought a used sct x3 off of ebay for 150 bucks! but it doesnt come with the usb cable and the guy says that he used one tune on his mustang and to put in 3.73 gears. does he have to put his back to stock to unlock it or do i have to unlock it? thanks in advance.

He would have to return to stock to unlock so you could use it. The USB cable doesn't come with new SCT's either...just use a printer cable if you have one or you can pick one up for 10-20 bucks...I've got about 10 of them laying around so no problem for me.

I hope he knows that the SCT won't correct his speedo for the gears, just the tranny tuning if available.

damn i dont think he is going to do that, he wants to keep in touch with me so he can buy it back from me later, which i thought was weird. is there a way for me to contact sct and for them to unlock or do i have to convince this guy?

you can get it unlocked by SCT but its gonna cost you money.... by the time you factor in them to unlock it and you buying custom tunes... you will end up paying more then if you just had bought one with custom tunes new...
